When the original post was prepared on September 12, 2026, the international ISO directory contained 178 codes. They included currencies, metals and special units of account. On the same date, CoinGecko tracked more than 21,000 cryptoassets.

Add shares, bonds, deposits and property. And remember loans: they belong in the picture too, just with a minus sign.

Even without dozens of assets, you can end up with a small financial zoo: a card from one bank, a deposit at another, travel money and a little crypto.

You can look at them in different apps. But the questions remain the same: how much do I have in total, how much do I owe, and what can I use right now?
